Uncaged

You built the life.

The life became a cage.

Introducing Uncaged — a five-day audio and written experience for the
woman who is done being organized by rules she never chose.

Let’s be precise about what’s actually happening.

You are not overwhelmed. You are not burned out in the way that word usually gets used. You are a high-functioning woman who has spent years — possibly decades — executing a set of rules so well that nobody, including you, stopped to ask who wrote them.

Do it yourself. Hold it together. Keep moving. Never let them see the cost.

These aren’t personality traits. They are a cage. An extraordinarily well-constructed one, built from your own intelligence, your own discipline, your own capacity to adapt. Which is exactly why it’s so hard to see, and so hard to leave.

You’re not here because something went wrong. You’re here because you are perceptive enough to recognise that what’s running your life has never been fully examined.

Uncaged is the examination.

What Uncaged Is:

A five-day audio and written experience. Five recordings. Five written guides. Delivered one per day.

Free.

Created by Brenda J. King, Ph.D. Clinical psychologist. Business owner. Twenty-five years working with high-functioning women who have built successful lives and feel privately constrained inside them.

This is not therapy. It is not coaching. It does not ask you to reframe, reset, or think more positively.

It asks you to look, with precision, at what has been organising your life without your full consent — and to begin, methodically, to release it.

The Five Days

Day 1

The Cage Bars

The hidden rules running your life don’t announce themselves. They show up as competence, reliability, professionalism. We name them precisely, trace them into your daily life — your thoughts, your body, your choices. You make a declaration. Not a goal. A completion.

Day 2

Unwriting the Rules

Change doesn’t happen through force. It happens through attention. You learn to observe, with genuine curiosity, what shifts when you begin to act from a different place. No agenda, no performance. You interrupt the pattern rather than reinforce it.

Day 3

The Curiosity Door

You try a different way of being without demanding it prove itself immediately. You learn to stay functional inside uncertainty, to let things be unresolved, and to trust that what needs to emerge will emerge in its own time. This is where change becomes liveable rather than theoretical.

Day 4

The Neuroscience of Change

The reason change feels like threat even when confinement is the alternative — it’s neurological. The dopamine drop when you break an old rule. The prefrontal cortex under stress. The default mode network replaying old narratives on a loop. Understanding this doesn’t just relieve the shame of struggling. It gives you precise points of intervention.

Day 5

Returning to Ground

A ritual of release that works on a level no worksheet ever reaches. You externalise the old rule, mark a completion, and create space for something more true to take root. The cage doesn’t fall all at once. It releases, piece by piece.

THIS IS FOR YOU IF

  • You have built a successful life and feel privately constrained inside it
  • The rules you live by are older than your conscious choices, and you know it
  • Competence, pressure, and over-responsibility are running the show, and you are exhausted by it
  • You want rigour, not reassurance
  • You are ready to look at what has been running your life without your permission

BRENDA J. KING, PH.D.

Clinical psychologist. Business owner. Twenty-five years working with accomplished women navigating the hidden cost of competence, over-responsibility, and identities that no longer fit.

Her work is rigorous enough for the analytical mind and deep enough to reach what insight alone cannot shift.

The cage you’re in wasn’t built from weakness.

It was built from everything you’re best at — used for too long in service of a life that no longer fully fits.

You already know how to do hard things.

This is just more honest.
